Nova Scotia’s primary care waitlist goes down more than 2K people in last month

Nova Scotia’s primary care waitlist went down by more than 2,000 people over the last month.

There were 91,474 people on the Need a Family Practice Registry as of May 1, according to Nova Scotia Health.

The health authority says 2,208 people in total were attached or removed as a result of ongoing validation work that confirmed they have a health-care provider.

The percentage of the province’s population still on the registry is 8.6 per cent.

Last month, there were 93,682 Nova Scotians on the list.

Nova Scotia Health says it will provide its next update on the registry in early June.
