A man from Lower South River, N.S., faces multiple drug-related charges after RCMP allegedly seized drugs, cash and a replica handgun from a home.

Jed Decoste, 34, faces four charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and four charges of trafficking a controlled substance, said a Monday news release from the RCMP.

Police arrested Decoste after executing a search warrant at a home on Park Boulevard on Jan. 10. Officers allegedly seized a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and prescription pills, as well as cash, a replica handgun, money counter, and other items associated to drug trafficking.

A second, unnamed person also faces charges for violations of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), said the release.

The RCMP says this is the Antigonish-Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit’s second search related to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act so far this year.
