The Nova Scotia RCMP has arrested a woman in connection with a "hate motivated crime" in Lower Ship Harbour.
The force received a report of mischief at a residential property on West Ship Harbour Road on March 25 around 11:10 a.m.
Police say a Pride flag and an Every Child Matters flag at the end of a driveway had been vandalized sometime the day before.
Investigators asked for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in the case and released a photo of the person on March 31.
“As a result of the investigation and information from the pubic, a 64-year-old woman from Dartmouth was identified as being involved in the incident,” reads a Wednesday news release from the RCMP.
The woman was arrested on April 6 and police say she will be facing a charge of mischief.
She was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on May 12.
