Police in Yarmouth County to lead search in connection with the disappearance of Zachery Lefave

Police in Nova Scotia’s Yarmouth County are preparing a ground search in connection to the investigation into the disappearance of Zachery Lefave.

The Nova Scotia RCMP says residents of Plymouth will see approximately 100 searchers in the community on Saturday and Sunday as the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit leads a ground search.

Yarmouth RCMP began a missing person investigation on Jan. 2, 2021, following a report that Lefave never returned to a New Year’s Eve party he attended with friends.

Lefave was last seen walking on Highway 334 in Plymouth at around 12:15 a.m.

Lefave was 21 years old, five-foot-nine and 175 pounds at the time of his disappearance, with brown facial hair, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hat, plaid shirt and shorts.
