Police say a man was arrested in P.E.I. following firearms offences near Wolfville, N.S.

Kings District RCMP charged a man with firearms offences near Wolfville, N.S., said a Monday news release.

Police searched a property in Newtonville, N.S., on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation, said police.

A 53-year-old man from Newtonville faces multiple firearms-related offences after police arrested him in Charlottetown on Saturday. Police responded to a complaint firearms were found at a residence on Jehill Davidson Road in Newtonville the same day.

The man is in custody and scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court Tuesday morning.

The ongoing investigation is being led by Kings District RCMP.
