RCMP in Eskasoni, N.S., charge man with drug trafficking

RCMP in Nova Scotia has charged a man with drug trafficking after executing a search warrant at a home in Eskasoni on Wednesday.

Police charged Stephen John Sylliboy, 71, of Eskasoni, with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, said a Friday news release. He was released and will appear in Eskasoni Provincial Court on May 6.

Police executed the search warrant at a home on Logan Drive at approximately 9 a.m. as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Officers seized cocaine, cash, cell phones, scales and other items used to produce and distribute cocaine during the search, said the release.
