Weezer is coming to Halifax this June.

The legendary rock group will headline the second night of Halifax Music Fest on June 27. The event will take place on the Garrison Grounds at the Citadel High National Historic Site.

The breakout success of their self-titled debut album quickly established the group as a defining sound of 1990s indie-rock and featured hits such as “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” and “Beverly Hills.”

The festival’s night-two lineup is rounded out with pop-punk band Jimmy Eat World, indie-rock band Dashboard Confessional, and alt-rockers Silversun Pickups.

Last month, Halifax Music Fest announced The Chicks would headline night one. Shaboozey, Blue Rodeo and the Barr Brothers will join the Grammy-Award winning country band.

Tickets for the second night of the festival go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.
