Teams are searching for a child who fell into the water in Cooks Cove, N.S., on Thursday.

A search is underway for a child who fell into the water in Cooks Cove, N.S.

In a social media post, the Nova Scotia RCMP said multiple agencies are participating in the search.

Police are asking members of the public to avoid the area so officers are able to work.

No other details are available at this time.

Cooks Cove is located in Guysborough County, roughly 43 kilometres west of Canso, N.S.
