Two more children have died following a house fire in Lower Sackville, N.S., that claimed the life of a six-year-old girl last weekend.

The house fire, which broke out around 3 a.m. Saturday at the Riverside Drive property, resulted in three children and a man being taken to hospital.

RCMP confirmed on Tuesday that a six-year-old died after the fire. An online fundraiser has identified her as “Chloe.”

Alyssa Martin, a family friend, confirmed to CTV Atlantic that a five-year-old and a nine-year-old also died in hospital on Tuesday.

“They’re broken,” Martin said of the family. “They’re just going to need some time to try to move through this.”

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency is looking into the cause of the fire, but says it is not considered suspicious.

A vigil was held outside the home on Sunday.
