A 37-year-old man is facing drug trafficking and weapons charges after Charlottetown police seized cocaine, brass knuckles and a drone from a home last week.

A 37-year-old man is facing drug trafficking and weapons charges after Charlottetown police seized cocaine, brass knuckles and a drone from a home last week.

Police executed a search warrant at a Kensington Road residence around 1:30 p.m. on April 17 as part of a six-week investigation, according to a Charlottetown Police Services news release.

Officers arrested a man and seized:

  • 284 grams of cocaine
  • brass knuckles
  • 495 grams of dried cannabis
  • bear spray
  • a drone
  • several cellphones
  • more than $22,000 in cash

Skylar John Peters was charged with:

  • possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
  • possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it
  • breach of probation

Peters was remanded into custody and will appear in court at an unspecified date.
