Two arrested following stolen motorcycle report, foot pursuit: P.E.I. RCMP

Two people have been arrested after a report of a stolen motorcycle led to a foot pursuit in Borden-Carleton, P.E.I., according to the RCMP.

Police say they received the report of two people with a stolen motorcycle on the Confederation Trail at around 7:20 p.m. on Friday.

Just before officers arrived, a man fled the area on foot, leaving his companion behind. She was arrested in relation to an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a probation order.

Police later located 28-year-old Travis Desroches hiding under a camper trailer and arrested him. Desroches was also wanted in Charlottetown, Summerside, and East Prince for multiple counts of possession of stolen property and failure to appear in court.

Desroches has been charged with:

- possession of property obtained by crime

- possession of break-in instruments in connection with this incident

He was remanded into custody until his court appearance on Monday.

The woman was released and is set to appear in court on charges unrelated to this incident.
