Allegedly stolen vehicles found during police raid in New Tecumseth, 5 arrested

Five individuals face charges after police raided a property in the Town of New Tecumseth early Tuesday afternoon, finding allegedly stolen vehicles valued at more than $50,000.

According to provincial police, officers executed a search warrant at the property on Sideroad 17 and seized a 2017 Jaguar XF sedan which had reportedly been stolen in Peel Region, a U-Haul van allegedly stolen in Guelph, and a U-Haul trailer reported stolen in Ajax.

Police arrested four men from Schomberg and a woman from Mississauga, each charged with several counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police ask anyone with information to come forward.
