Think of it as the population of Innisfil cheering you on during childbirth.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Innisfil Community Foundation, women in labour can now get a little relief.

The Innisfil foundation donated $5,567 to Stevenson Memorial Hospital to help purchase an epidural pain pump for the obstetrics department of the hospital.

“As our region continues to grow and attract young families, updating and expanding equipment across all units, including the birthing unit, is a key priority to ensure we provide the best care for our community,” said Frank Cerisano, CEO of Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Innisfil Community Foundation in helping us provide essential healthcare services to families in our community,” he said.

Donated to the Because of You, We Can campaign, the Stevenson foundation’s ambitious efforts to raise funds through community support will help build the future of Stevenson Memorial Hospital. The progressive project is expected to triple the size of the hospital and will provide expanded emergency care and advanced diagnostic imaging – including Stevenson’s first MRI suite – modern facilities, and specialized surgical services.

“As Innisfil grows, the Innisfil Community Foundation recognizes the need for accessible local healthcare,” says Sandra Rizzardo, Chair of the Foundation’s Board. “By replacing critical equipment like the epidural pump, Stevenson Memorial Hospital will continue offering compassionate, high-quality care during childbirth. Supporting the hospital aligns with our vision to improve community well-being and invest in the future of Innisfil families.”
