Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a truck that may have been used to steal tools in Melancthon on April 1.
A black or blue Chevrolet pickup truck drove up to a rural property on County Road 17, broke the lock on the gate, and made off with tools and equipment, including:
- Generator
- Leaf blower
- Chainsaw
- Portable welder
- Rototiller
- Two bales of hay
Provincial police say the truck was at the property for just over an hour, leaving shortly after 5 p.m.

The truck is described as an extended cab Chevrolet with light-coloured trim around the rear wheel wells, and a 4X4 decal on both sides of the bed.
Police say the tonneau cover was flipped open showing boxes inside the bed of the truck.
