Provincial police are investigating a single-vehicle crash near Midland that claimed the life of a 30-year-old man.
OPP says a passing motorist called police about the collision on Old Penetanguishene Road in Wyebridge late Wednesday morning. Emergency crews arrived and say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was the sole occupant in the black, older model Honda Civic.
Police believe the collision happened sometime after 7 p.m. on Tuesday. It’s unclear what caused the crash. Police urge anyone with information to contact the authorities.
Officers closed Old Penetanguishene Road between Forget Road and Ebenezer Sideroad for the investigation.
The identity of the driver was not disclosed.
