How to wreck your life: Impaired Driving 101

Some drivers don’t get it, but most do: call 911 if you suspect another driver is impaired.

After such a call, police located a car on Highway 60 in Lake of Bays Township on Friday mid-afternoon. A 49-year-old Pembroke man faces three charges including:

• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
• Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The next day at 5 p.m., another citizen called about a possibly impaired diver.

Police located the car on Hiawartha Drive in Huntsville.

A 29-year-old Bracebridge woman faces operation while impaired with blood/alcohol concentration 80 plus and operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs charges.

The drivers are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.
