Today’s the day to get out and have your say about what you want to see in the future of Ontario.
With nine ridings in our area, plenty of votes will be cast. The polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Voter cards were mailed out last week, but if you haven’t received one, simply bring photo identification showing your name and address. You must be 18 years or older to vote.
Weather can be a challenge in this area, but Elections Ontario is collaborating with local authorities to ensure public safety concerns are met, and to have contingency plans in place if the weather conditions worsen.
Voters will be able to use assistive technology at their local poll location by appointment.
Additionally, employers must ensure their staff have three consecutive hours during voting hours to cast their votes.
