It is never too early to start thinking about summer.
Resorts of Ontario (ROO) launched a new Great Escapes Magazine online that features summer getaways across the province, many of which are in the Simcoe Muskoka region.
The magazine shows high-quality photos, articles, maps and booking options of resorts such as Bayview Wildwood Resort in Severn Bridge, Sherwood Inn near Port Carling and Hockley Valley Resort in Mono.
“With its stunning imagery and compelling storytelling, this magazine allows travellers to envision their perfect getaway like never before,” said Kerri King, executive director of ROO.
The magazine was offered in print over the last three decades but was transitioned to be offered digitally for the first time.
ROO also hopes the online resource could help encourage Ontarians to consider local travel with Trump’s impending tariffs.
“With everything going on in the world today, more people are considering vacationing within the province instead of going further in Canada or beyond,” added King, in an email to CTV News. “We think that the ROO digital Great Escapes Magazine will be a great place for them to research and book their holidays.”
ROO represents nearly a hundred resorts in the province that offer vacation and leisure experiences across all four seasons.
