Oro-Medonte offers aid to residents without water

Published:

Some Oro-Medonte roads have been reopened thanks to ongoing ice storm recovery efforts and the township is offering potable water to those who need.

The Township of Oro-Medonte is making potable water available at two locations this weekend to residents who are without a water supply.

In a news release on Friday, the township stated that residents can pick up potable water at 344 Moonstone Road East and 24 Elvyn Crescent from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Residents are asked to limit themselves to two 18.5-litre bottles per family to ensure that as many households as possible can be assisted.

The township adds that several arterial roads have reopened since last weekend’s ice storm and those that are still closed are due to downed powerlines.
