The Easter long weekend got off to a fast start for patrolling officers on Highway 11.
Provincial police reported that four different drivers were nabbed between Friday and Saturday for travelling at excessive speeds along the Oro-Medonte stretch of the highway, a posted 90 kilometres per hour zone.
According to Orillia OPP, the first driver, a 23-year-old from Minesing, was clocked at 141 kilometres per hour while travelling in the southbound direction at around 1:15 p.m. on Friday.
Then, nearly an hour later, a patrolling officer clocked a 24-year-old from North York at 141 kilometres per hour while travelling in the northbound direction of the highway.
Nearly 45 minutes later, police say the same officer clocked another northbound driver, a 41-year-old from Utterson, at 141 kilometres per hour.
Then, on Friday afternoon at around 1 p.m., police say a 21-year-old G2 driver from Brampton was clocked at 149 kilometres per hour while travelling in the northbound direction.
All four drivers face stunt driving charges and are scheduled for future court dates.
Their licences were suspended for 30 days and their vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
OPP remind drivers to respect the speed limit and to not jeopardize the safety of local neighbourhoods.
