Police raids in Innisfil results in 4 arrests, seizure of illegal firearms and recovery of stolen property: OPP

Police reportedly seized guns and stolen property, and arrested four people, during two raids in Innisfil.

Four individuals face several charges after police say they recovered illegal firearms and stolen property, including vehicles, following raids at two residences in Innisfil.

Last month, police say they received a tip that a man allegedly in possession of firearms was driving a stolen vehicle, prompting an investigation.

Officers with the OPP street crime unit conducted the searches in the early morning hours on Thursday following break-ins in Collingwood and Clearview Township over the past several months.

Provincial police reportedly seized a loaded 9mm handgun, a sawed-off shotgun, rifles, police and corrections uniform patches, and property they say was related to break-ins that happened in the fall.

A 36-year-old man from Collingwood, a 27-year-old man from Innisfil, a 33-year-old woman from Alcona, and a 26-year-old man of no fixed address each face multiple weapons-related offences.
