Provincial police are appealing to the public in their hunt for a suspect who allegedly broke into a gas station and stole a quantity of cigarettes in the Kawartha Lakes region early Thursday morning.
According to a City of Kawartha Lakes OPP social media post, a suspect threw a rock at the front glass door of the Bobcaygeon gas station at around 3:15 a.m. before stealing an undetermined about of cigarettes.
Police released security photos of the single male suspect, describing him as wearing a grey sweater, black pants, black gloves and a black toque.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
