Emergency crews arrived to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Georgina to find twisted metal and broken glass on Wednesday.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt posted to social media that a car collided into the rear of a pickup truck as it was turning left on Highway 48 north of Ravenshoe Road.
Despite the car sustaining considerable damage, Schmidt said the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The area was closed for several hours for the investigation. It reopened later that evening. There is no word on any charges at this time.
Police urge motorists to pay attention to the road ahead of the Easter long weekend, noting officers will be out in full force watching for poor driving behaviours with increased traffic expected.
