Video shows heavy police raid on Barrie home

There was a heavy police presence in central Barrie Saturday afternoon as officers raided a home in an apparent arrest of the occupants.

Video supplied by a witness shows heavily armed officers with an armoured police vehicle surrounding a home on John Street and ordering the occupants to surrender.

Officers could be heard yelling in the video for the occupants to ‘come out the front door’ with their hands up and that they are ‘under arrest.’

When CTV News reached out to the Barrie Police Service (BPS) for more information, the BPS shared little detail about the incident.

A spokesperson said an investigation is ongoing, but police would not confirm whether anyone was taken into custody or whether any charges were laid.
