2nd-degree murder charge laid in Sunridge hotel homicide

A charge of second-degree murder has been laid in connection with a death in the northeast Calgary community of Sunridge.

Police said in a release issued on Wednesday that 37-year-old Cavan Dillon Cachene is their suspect.

He’s accused in the homicide of 42-year-old Jerry Wayne Bull on Sunday night at the Emerald Hotel and Suites at 2750 Sunridge Blvd. N.E.

Officers were sent there for reports of a man in medical distress and found the victim dead.

The victim was identified on Tuesday, following an autopsy.
