3 suspects arrested in Drumheller drug trafficking investigation

Published:

Drumheller RCMP say a year-long investigation into drug trafficking in the community has led to the arrests of three individuals.

Authorities launched the operation in April 2024, targeting several people they believed were dealing drugs in Drumheller and surrounding communities.

The work, which involved a variety of other units such as the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, Red Deer’s Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team and Strathmore’s general investigative section, managed to disrupt the criminal network.

Police say they seized quantities of cocaine, psilocybin, LSD, firearms, cash and other items related to drug trafficking.

Three people, including two Drumheller residents and a Starland County resident, face drug trafficking charges.

They were released from custody on a promise to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on April 11.
