71-year-old man dead in workplace incident in East Coulee

An investigation is underway after a fatal incident that took place Friday afternoon in East Coulee.

An Alberta RCMP spokesperson confirmed that Drumheller RCMP responded at around 4 p.m. to the scene, which involved a 71-year-old man.

The Town of Drumheller posted on social media that its emergency response team was activated and STARS Air Ambulance also responded.

RCMP said it was a workplace incident and that Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) had taken over the investigation.

No other information was available.
