An 80-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a Calgary Transit bus on Friday. It happened at a bus stop at Beddington Boulevard N.W. and Centre Street North just before 10 a.m. Police say the woman was exiting the bus when she fell and was hit by the bus as it drove off. She suffered life-altering injuries, police say. The driver of the bus wasn’t injured and remained at the scene. Police say speed and impairment are not believed to be factors in the collision.
