A Brooks man has been charged in relation to a stolen truck and high-end bicycle.
On Tuesday, a Ford F-150 truck that had previously been reported stolen from Coaldale was spotted near a golf course by its owner, who tried to block it.
A man inside the truck got out of it and ran into a coulee, while a second person inside the F-150 rammed the vehicle before fleeing in the truck.
Lethbridge police and RCMP officers searched the river valley, where they found the F-150 passenger hiding in the coulee. He was arrested.
Later that night, a Lethbridge officer noticed a suspicious man with a high-end bicycle around the 200 block of Eighth Street North. The man fled, with police following in their vehicle before the officer stopped and chased the suspect on foot.
The officer caught up to the suspect, who resisted him before being arrested.
At that point, officers were able to confirm that he was the driver of the stolen F-150 who had fled from the golf course.
A search of the suspect yielded a set of Ford keys and methamphetamine.
Police also confirmed the bike had been reported stolen on Bike Index and notified the owner that they recovered it.
The stolen truck was also recovered on the west side.
A 28-year-old Brooks man was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer. The man is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
