Calgary man charged with criminal harassment of CPS officer

A Calgary man has been charged in the alleged harassment of a police officer.

Southern Alberta RCMP were tasked with investigating the complaint in November 2024.

The accused had been investigated by the Calgary Police Service.

RCMP say following the investigation, the accused allegedly began posting “defamatory, anti-law enforcement” content online, targeting CPS and the lead investigator.

“He continued to post online content, which evolved into threats and stalking behaviours against the officer,” RCMP said in a Monday news release.

Following an investigation by RCMP, 46-year-old Jordan Randall Bonner was charged with criminal harassment.

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8.
