Calgary police are looking to the public for help identifying the person behind the wheel during a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian.

It happened at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, as the victim was walking east in an alley in the 100 block of Rivercrest Circle S.E.

Police say a four-door sedan heading west sideswiped the pedestrian, but didn’t stop.

The victim was able to call for help and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect and locate the vehicle, police are turning to the public in hopes of advancing the investigation,” police said in a Monday news release.

The vehicle is described as a white Volkswagen Jetta.
