Calgary police seek men who spent $13K on woman’s stolen cards

Calgary police are looking to identify two men who allegedly used stolen credit and debit cards to buy nearly $13,000 worth of products.

The victim’s wallet was stolen between 3:15 and 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16 while attending a bowling alley and then a restaurant in northeast Calgary.

Police say that same night, the victim’s debit and credit cards were used to purchased more than $4,300 in electronics from the Walmart on Sage Hill Gate N.W., and nearly $8,700 worth of other items from various spots throughout the city.

On Thursday, police released photos of the suspects captured from CCTV footage.

The first man is described as having a beard and dark hair tied in a bun.

The second man is described as having short, dark hair and glasses.

Both were dressed in black clothing.

Anyone with information about the theft or the identity of either men is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
