Monday will be similar to Sunday with warmer temperatures, sunshine and mild wind. An incoming low-pressure system will bring cooler conditions for the middle of the week, starting with stronger wind in southwestern Alberta Monday night and Tuesday. Rain will transition to snow as that low tracks west to east across central and southern British Columbia – with the bulk of precipitation expected to fall north of the TransCanada Highway along the Rockies. Most of the moisture will be squeezed out of this system before it descends along the eastern slopes of the range, however, a narrow band of precipitation is expected to form south of the TransCanada Highway in Alberta — including in Calgary — on Tuesday night. Cooler air will flow across Alberta on Wednesday and Thursday and suppress temperatures. The daytime high in Calgary is expected to peak at 13 C both days with lows closer to 3 C. The normal range this time of year is 16 C for a high and 2 C for a low. Temperatures will return to more seasonal values by Friday and continue through to the middle of next week.
