City of Lethbridge to hold public consultations over proposed budget reductions

The City of Lethbridge is encouraging residents to go paperless with property tax e-billing.

The City of Lethbridge is considering changing some services to cut costs and residents are asked to weigh in.

The proposed cost-saving ideas total about $2 million, equivalent to a one per cent tax decrease--but would impact services and programs provided to the community.

The operating budget funds police, fire and road maintenance, as well as pools, arenas and libraries.

Residents can give feedback on the draft 2027 operating budget during virtual and in-person meetings on June 10 and 11.
