The City of Lethbridge is warning residents about a payment scam on Facebook offering unlimited travel smartcards.
The Facebook profile, “Public transport in Lethbridge” has multiple posts offering the smartcards if users click the link and enter credit card details, however officials say the offer is fake.
The page has been reported to Facebook (Meta). The City of Lethbridge has posted comments that alert users to the scam and asks residents to report it it pops up on their social media feeds and to block it.

Fraudulent Transit smartcards are being offered if users enter their credit card info.
