A crane struck a Plus 15 Friday in downtown Calgary.

At around 12:50 p.m., police received reports of a crane truck striking the bottom of the Plus 15 bridge crossing 400 Fourth Ave. at Shell Centre.

The crane strike dented the Plus 15, police said, but beyond some minor damage to the bottom of the bridge, nothing else was damaged.

Two lanes were temporarily shut down by police while technical rescue workers evaluated the damage.

Police say there’s no risk to the public and no hazard.

The damage is just cosmetic.
