Calgary police are hoping kinder-hearted motorists than one in particular will help solve a road-rage assault.

Investigators are hoping they’ll offer up dash-cam video.

The incident occurred Feb. 26 between 7 and 7:15 p.m., along 71st Avenue S.E. between Blackfoot Trail and Sixth Street S.E.

According to police, the driver of a sedan aggressively passed a grey Hyundai Sonata, entered into oncoming traffic, then stopped.

Police say the driver of the Hyundai also pulled over.

The driver of the sedan is said to have exited that vehicle and approached the Hyundai, and when the driver of the Hyundai rolled down his window, punched him several times in the face.

The driver of the sedan is then said to have fled.

Police say they’ve been unable to identify and locate the driver of the sedan, who is described as a man in his 30s.

Anyone with relevant dash-cam video is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
