Daytime highs to sit between 13 C to 20 C for at least a week

A more consistent and stable weather pattern is setting up across the central and southern portions of British Columbia and Alberta.

An incoming ridge of high pressure will translate to daytime highs in Calgary of 13 C to 20 C for the rest of this week, and similar values are likely to continue into the first week of May.

Under this ridge, there is little chance of precipitation for southern Alberta and winds should remain mild.

In Calgary, it will be mostly sunny until the end of the weekend, but even with a more zonal set-up in the upper patterns temperatures should remain above seasonal.

There is a chance of light precipitation in northern Alberta and central Saskatchewan on Wednesday as a low pressure system in northern Alberta tracks south and east over the next 24 hours.

During that time, some light and scattered rain is possible around the capital, including from Edmonton to Red Deer, but areas east QEII corridor between Red Deer to Calgary should remain dry.

Light rain is also possible along the foothills, but is unlikely to reach as far east as Calgary.
