The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel is launching a family-friendly event this weekend.
Officials say Après at the Castle is meant to highlight winter experiences at the ‘Castle in the Rockies.’
The new event, which coincides with Banff’s SnowDays Festival, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. daily from Friday, Jan. 17 to Sunday, Feb. 2.
Some of the highlights include the Sugar Shack – an outdoor cabin with cocktails and hand pies, skating at the outdoor rink, firepits and marshmallow roasting, and the Veuve Cliquot Apres Lounge – which will have vibrant decor, cocktails and Veuve Clicquot champagne.
To celebrate the launch of Après at the Castle, Canadian figure skater Elladj Baldé will be strapping on his skates and showing off his skills at 5 p.m. on Jan. 18.
