Five people are facing charges after a Lethbridge police probe of a problematic southside property.

Police launched an investigation into the home, located in the 100 block of 12 Street South, at the end of March after reports of suspicious activity and complaints of open drug use.

Officers searched the home on Monday, seizing fentanyl, methamphetamine, a “significant amount” of cocaine, weapons including knives, bear spray and nun chucks, cash and stolen property.

Police say 12 people inside the home were taken into custody, and two others who left the home were arrested on outstanding warrants.

Of the 14 people arrested, nine were released without charges.

The five people who were charged are all set to appear in court in April and May.
