Fog covered the City of Calgary overnight but visibility started to improve as the morning commute commenced.
Foggy conditions persisted south, west and east of the city, prompting Environment and Climate Change Canada to issue fog advisories.

As of 8 a.m. Thursday, 511 Alberta cameras within the warned areas showed very compromised visibility with improvements starting once a slight breeze moved in to the same areas.
Thursday will bring sunny conditions across southern Alberta, including in Calgary with a daytime high of 8 C.

A period of warmer weather is expected for the weekend with daytime highs in Calgary ranging from 11 C to 13 C and overnight temperatures from -2 C to 3 C.
Another cooldown will start on Monday and by Wednesday, daytime highs are expected to be both below seasonal and below freezing.
