Hurricanes celebrate alumni by flattening Raiders 6-1

The Lethbridge Hurricanes paid tribute to some illustrious alumni Friday night by scoring plenty of goals in a 6-1 win over the Prince Albert Raiders.

Following a ceremony that saw Herb Beswick inducted into the builders category and former players Cory Lyons and Ben Wright into the Wall of Honour, the Hurricanes came out flying, scoring the game’s first three goals.

That included singles from Carsen Adair -- his first WHL goal -- Brayden Yager and Kooper Gizowski.

Prince Albert fought back, making it 3-1 on a goal by Lucas Dragicevic, but Noah Chadwick, Leo Braillard and Shane Smith added third period markers to complete the scoring.

Lethbridge outshot Prince Albert 37-18.

Next up for the Hurricanes is a Saturday night trip to Red Deer where they will take on the Rebels. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
