Hurricanes falter as Prince Albert continues hot streak with 2-1 win in Lethbridge

The Hurricanes were in action Wednesday night against the Prince Albert Raiders at VisitLethbridge.com Arena.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes hoped to double a one-game winning streak Wednesday night when they welcomed the Prince Albert Raiders to town, but their guests followed a different script.

After Brayden Dube opened the scoring in the first, Jackson Kostiuk scored early in the second period for the Raiders to propel the club to a 2-0 lead.

Shane Smith got one back for the Hurricanes 13 minutes into the second period, but that was all they would get as Prince Albert prevailed by a score of 2-1.

The Raiders are on fire right now. They’ve gotten points in 14 straight games, including 11 wins.

Next up for the Hurricanes is a Friday night battle against the Brandon Wheat Kings at VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
