Hurricanes pay tribute to trio with induction into Wall of Honour

Three new names are being inducted into the Lethbridge Hurricanes Wall of Honour.

Corey Lyons, Ben Wright and Herb Beswick will all be inducted in a ceremony Friday night.

The trio were honoured earlier in the day with a special ceremony.

Lyons played for the Canes from 1988 to 1990. He helped lead the team to their first WHL finals appearance in 1990, racking up 254 points as a Hurricane.

Wright played parts of six seasons from 2003 to 2009. He captained the team for two of those seasons and was a key part of the 2008 team that made it to the finals.

Beswick is being inducted in the builders category. He was a member of the original board of directors and was integral in relocating the Calgary Wranglers to Lethbridge.

The three will be inducted prior to Friday night’s Hurricanes game against the Prince Albert Raiders. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. – but might be a little late.
