A fire on the city’s southside is still under investigation.
Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a shed fire just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of 14th Avenue South.
Residents in the area say they heard an explosion before the fire started.
Flames spread to a neighbouring shed, but firefighters were able to limit it to only the two structures.
“We definitely had to be mindful of the structure down wind. What we ran into -- our biggest challenge -- was the power pole that was involved in the back alley posed a significant risk to firefighters and the public in the alley,” said a fire department spokesperson.
The fire department said no one was injured during the blaze.
