An upcoming film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel will be filmed in Calgary this spring.
Reminders of Him, published in 2022, tells the story of troubled young mother Kenna Rowan, who, after serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, returns to the town where it all went wrong with the hopes of reuniting with her four-year-old daughter.
According to Deadline, the film will star Maika Monroe, best known for her roles in Longlegs, Watcher and It Follows.'
The film adaptation is being directed by Vanessa Caswill, with Hoover and Lauren Levine writing the screenplay.
According to ACTRA, Reminders of Him will film in Calgary and the surrounding area from April 16 to June 12.

The first film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel was 2024’s It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, which has been embroiled in controversy as the two stars became engaged in an ongoing legal battle.
While the film wasn’t a critical success, it got strong reviews from audiences – nabbing an 89 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to Deadline, the film will star Allison Williams (Girls) McKenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and Dave Franco.
