Man in custody as police investigate suspicious death in southeast Calgary

Calgary police are investigating a suspicious death in the southeast community of Deer Run.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday night, police were called to a home for reports of a disturbance.

They found a man in his 70s badly injured. He was transported to hospital where he later died.

Around 2 a.m. Monday, police arrested a man in his 30s along the 100 block of 9 Avenue southwest.

He remains in custody.

Police expect to release more information after an autopsy is completed later this week but do believe it is stems from a domestic dispute.
