Victoria police are looking to the public for help locating a missing senior who they say has ties to Calgary.

Miroslav, 67, was reported missing just before 8 p.m. on April 1.

Police say he has a mental health condition and has been without his medication, making him a high-risk case.

“Investigators are concerned for his wellbeing as his mental and physical health continues to deteriorate,” police said in a Thursday news release.

Miroslav is believed to be traveling on foot with a walker and is possibly wearing a red jacket.

Investigators say he was on the 3 p.m. ferry departing Victoria to Vancouver on April 1.

They say he could also be in the Stanley Park in Vancouver, but is also known to have connections in the Lower Mainland and Calgary, and could be in either area.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Victoria Police Department at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
