Mobile mammography service to visit High River, Alta.

Alberta Health Services’ (AHS) mobile mammography trailer will visit High River next month.

Mammograms are an X-ray of the breast used to detect early signs of cancer.

AHS says mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early when treatment may work better.

The trailer will be parked at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex/Cargill Field House, located at 228 12 Ave. S.E., from Dec. 15 to 20.

It will serve women ages 45 to 74 – the group most at risk of developing breast cancer.

Screening is free for eligible individuals, but appointments are required.
