One of the stars of this weekend’s Calgary Comics and Entertainment Expo paid a visit to the CTV Calgary studios on Thursday morning.

Peggy the Dog, a.k.a. Dogpool and the Expo’s ‘paw-rader-in-chief’, made her first appearance of the event on CTV Morning Live.
The dog, which was given the dubious honour of the U.K.’s ugliest dog, rose to true stardom in the Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman hit Deadpool & Wolverine.
Owner Holly Middleton said the experience was very exciting, start to finish.

“From finding out what the movie was, but it was all top secret and we couldn’t tell our kids,” she said.
“When we actually got to break the news to them, it was pretty epic.”
Now that Middleton has seen Peggy on the big screen and cuddled by Reynolds during many promotion events, it’s been beyond anything she could believe.
“I knew she was special when I saw her, but never in our wildest dreams did we think it would get to this level.”

Peggy, who has her own agent, is scheduled to participate in Friday’s Parade of Wonders and will also be available to sign “paw-tographs” at the Expo, with proceeds going to support Calgary animal shelter Parachutes for Pets.
